Ian and his wife Chaley have two children, both of whom will be attending Cove Classical in Fall 2026.

Ian earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Dakota. After graduation, he taught himself to program and began a career in software engineering and design. Over the last 12 years, he has held a wide range of roles, from small agencies to household names like Microsoft.

His background in history and his enjoyment of discovery and problem-solving led him to his career, and the same interests fuel his excitement for helping start Cove Classical. He looks forward to seeing students delight in curiosity, grow in confidence, and be equipped to wrestle with life’s hard questions.
